The Turkish Integrated Circuits Alliance (TICA) is now operational, bringing together top national semiconductor companies and universities to elevate Turkey’s semiconductor expertise globally!
The Turkish Integrated Circuits Alliance (TICA), a newly established non-profit organization, has officially commenced its operations as of July 2024. Formed by a coalition of leading national semiconductor companies and universities, TICA is dedicated to enhancing the visibility of Turkey’s semiconductor expertise on the global stage.
The alliance’s mission is to build a robust collaboration hub that addresses the needs of its members while advancing the semiconductor ecosystem in Turkey. By fostering specialization, facilitating joint training and development, and promoting a culture of partnership, TICA aims to bolster the sector’s growth and international competitiveness.
Key activities of TICA include facilitating information and experience sharing, collaborative use of software and hardware tools, developing joint projects, and representing the organization at domestic and international trade fairs. TICA focuses on translating academic research into industry applications, developing human resources, and supporting the promotion and commercialization of high value-added semiconductor products.
The founding members, which include prominent figures from academia and industry, have appointed Prof. Yusuf Leblebici, President of Sabancı University, as the Chairman of the Board of Directors. Under his leadership, TICA is poised to drive significant advancements in Turkey’s semiconductor sector and contribute to the country’s socio-economic development.
